Friday, July 11th, 2014 in Featured, News

Roebbelen Contracting, along with other major partners/contributors (including Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), Northern California Golden Arches Association, Stafford King Wiese Architects, UC Davis Health System, HomeAid Sacramento, Pacific Coast Building Products, Inc., RMHC Teen Leadership Council, The New Home Company and Kelly Brothers), celebrated the groundbreaking of a monumental project in Sacramento yesterday, July 10th. The expansion of the Ronald McDonald House Sacramento Campus is officially underway after yesterday morning’s ceremony and is on its way to providing support to many more families in need.

Attendees heard from several different key players involved with RMHC and this project in particular, including Judy and Zach Pickett (former guests of the Sacramento Ronald McDonald House), and the resounding feelings were that of gratitude, happiness and hope. Gratitude for every person who has lent a helping hand; happiness for getting this long-awaited project up and running; and hope for the positive affect this expansion will have on the community and families RMHC serves.

The 18,000 SF expansion will add 20 additional rooms and is currently scheduled for completion by July 2015. Check out KCRA 3 footage before the groundbreaking ceremony as well as the Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern California website to learn more about this exciting expansion and all the ways in which RMHC helps offer a home away from home to those who need it most.
