TINY YOGIS: Saturdays @ 10:00AM

Stretch, breathe, connect and play with your little one in this adult/child yoga class! Little ones will practice yoga through guided movement, songs, stories and play. Class is held in Baby Bloomers (a closed off area), so your child can explore safely while YOU enjoy some yoga, too! Tiny Yogis is a playful and unique class that is designed for adults and their children ages three and under, but preschoolers are welcome, too. Adults should wear comfortable clothes they can move in since there will be light yoga for them, too! Yoga is known to reduce stress, promote optimism, strengthen the body, improve focus and combat childhood obesity–all while having a GREAT time!

We hope you’re excited about the 2014 Olympics in Sochi! All month long we’re counting down with various physical activities to celebrate all the fun of the Winter Games!

Take your best shot at Ice Hockey Leo, or try your luck at our Olympic Ring Bean-Bag Toss! Every day has something different, meaning you’ve got plenty of reasons to come check out SCM this January!!

This new literacy-focused exhibit will serve as a platform to carry out both structured literacy programs and activities, and general reading and literacy exploration for our visitors!
With a brand new exhibit and exciting improvements upon our dress up station, Story Factory lets kids grab a costume or a book, jump up on stage, and put on a show!
The Museum will be closed for installation February 3rd – 6th.

Starting January 1st, all SCM Birthday Parties will include two dozen cupcakes (mini or regular) from Cupcake Craving! We will also provide up to 24 dessert plates and napkins. Book your birthday party today at http://www.sackids.org/birthday-party-request-form.html or contact our Sales Coordinator at sales@sackids.org.

Are you looking for a unique experience working with kids and using your creativity to it’s full potential? Sign up to volunteer with SCM!
We’re always looking for great volunteers, and getting set up couldn’t be easier with our Volunteer Information Center Network (or VICNet, as we like to call it)! Our volunteers work on various projects, including preparing materials for our art classes, keeping exhibits organized and safe, helping kids with projects in our Art Studio, and working activities at our many events throughout the year.
If you’d like to sign up, follow this link to fill out a volunteer application, and be sure to attend our next Volunteer Orientation on Tuesday, January 14th, right here at the museum, starting at 6pm. If you have any questions, reach out to our Volunteer Coordinator, Mike, at mike@sackids.org.

SCM hosts an after-hours event for children with special needs on the second Wednesday of every month from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Our next Play Date is scheduled for Wednesday, January 8th.
Admission is free, light refreshments are served, and Museum staff is available to help children explore exhibits and create projects in our Art Studio. Friends and siblings are welcome too!
This is an RSVP only event, as space is limited. Please call 916-638-7225 for more information!

Starting January 1st, all SCM Membership cards will be mailed to the address provided on your membership form, instead of picked up in the Museum. This will ensure that all membership cards get to you as soon as possible! All cards that had not been picked up as of 1/1/14 were mailed to the address listed on their membership. Please contact memberships@sackids.org with questions!
