Are you a fan of the popular “Peanuts” character “Snoopy”? Do you love supporting California museums like SCM? Now you can share your enthusiasm for both by investing in an awesome Snoopy License Plate for your car! The proceeds made from this program all go towards supporting California’s museums through various grant programs, and a portion of the fee is considered a charitable contribution, which is tax deductible! Order your Snoopy license plate here today!

Thank you for helping to keep California museums great!

Join Sacramento Children’s Museum each Sunday for science experiments and awesome activities! Science Sundays are filled with wonderful opportunities for children to witness science in action, try hands-on experimentation, and explore the world of science for themselves! We even have goggles and a lab coats that kids can wear so they can feel just like real scientists!

SCM hosts an after-hours event for children with special needs on the second Wednesday of every month from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Our next Play Date is scheduled for Wednesday, March 12th. Admission is free, light refreshments are served, and Museum staff is available to help children explore exhibits and create projects in our Art Studio. Friends and siblings are welcome too! This is an RSVP only event, as space is limited. Please call 916-638-7225 for more information!

Our next Volunteer Orientation will be taking place this Tuesday, March 11th, right here at the museum, starting at 6pm! If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering here at SCM, fill out an application here, and be sure to attend this orientation!

Remember to bring a copy of your ID (this can be a student ID, driver’s license, passport, etc). If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at mike@sackids.org! Thanks for your interest, and we look forward to your help!

Join us on Sunday, March 16th for a special St. Patrick’s Day Member Appreciation Hour with coffee and light refreshments for our members from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm!

The Museum will not be open for Members Only Hours on Thursday, March 27th. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause! As consolation, please join us for a special Members-Only Hours on Friday, March 28th from 5:00pm to 7:00 pm!

We’re always looking for donations so kids can keep making awesome and imaginative projects in our Art Studio!
