Edison High School

Roebbelen has provided general contracting and preconstruction services at Edison High School since 2011. Projects include:

Taggart Gymnasium
This modernization project included gym renovations, a new weight room and reception area, as well as site improvements. This project had a rigid construction schedule. Roebbelen coordinated aggressively with its subcontractor team, the design team, and the district to allow the gym to open on time for the basketball payoffs.

Engineering and Technology
Roebbelen demolished an existing building to construct the new Engineering and Technology Building. The project was impacted by unforeseen underground utilities. Through the creative and alternative sequencing of construction activities Roebbelen mitigated this impact and completed the project on time.

Administration, Cafeteria, and Kitchen (ACK)
The new ACK building had many logistical challenges because the existing building needed to remain operational during construction. Demolition was phased to accommodate students and faculty. The cafeteria finished ahead of schedule allowing Roebbelen to start the next phase earlier than expected.

Classroom Building Replacements
New two-story Classroom Building ‘B’ which houses three science classrooms, two computer labs, twenty standard classrooms, one oversized break-out classroom, three resource rooms, two offices, storage rooms, custodian, toilet rooms, three staff work rooms, a media room and a receiving room and the Classroom Building ‘D’ which houses 12 standard classrooms, two computer labs, two art classrooms, a ceramics classroom, two resources areas, a media room, a teacher workroom, three offices, student and staff toilet rooms, and building support spaces.
