SCUSD Central Kitchen
New 35,600 sf Central Kitchen Facility and a 9,400 sf Nutrition Services Administration space. Demolition of the existing transportation buildings, removal of a communication tower, new site parking and circulation for staff, visitors, overflow Transportation Services parking, a bus wash, a Community Garden and off-site improvements.
The Central Kitchen’s mission is to provide healthy, sustainable, fresh, and local food to all schoolchildren within the district. With a state of the art kitchen, the Central Kitchen will serve over 30,000 meals per day at full capacity, spanning students across PreK-12 grades.
